Note: Some visible cracks formed during the kiln firing of this piece. However, all the ceramic parts seem stable and unmoving as they were fused to an underlying ceramic skeleton during its creation. They will not compromise the structure or function of this piece.

How it was made:
This hanukkiah was hand-built using high-quality stoneware clay, using both slab and pinching techniques. It was hand-painted with lead-free terra sigillata, a technique that involves siphoning off the finest clay particles and adding stains to create a soft, smooth surface. Lead-free glaze was also used. The menorah was fired twice to about 2000 degrees F in an electric kiln in the AMH Ceramics studio in La Mesa, CA, USA.

This menorah is fire-safe.

It is about 6.5 inches tall, and 8.5 inches wide.
