Hand sculpted brass ring with a rose cut strawberry quartz and a faceted pink tourmaline, inspired by Aurora, the beautiful goddess of the dawn, who announced the arrival of the sun every morning, riding her chariot across the sky before the sun did, spreading flowers as she passed.
She followed her heart’s desire in many aspects, and was rejuvenating each day.

• JEWELRY CARE & GOLD PLATING •

Gold plating is a process where a thin layer of gold is bonded onto a base metal.
Plating is quite common in the jewellery world.
Plating at around the 2.5-micron mark is quite thick and known as heavy gold plated. This piece of jewelry was plated with a 3 micron thickness.

Gold plating can fade and tarnish over time, losing its initial luster and brightness.
This is common and can happen regardless of the quality of the piece. Gold plating is meant to be permanent, but like all types of plating, it doesn't handle rough exposure well. Gold plating wears out over time and can flake off, exposing the base metal underneath.
The best way to deal with tarnished pieces is to have the piece re-plated when required.
Feel free to contact me if you’d like to have your jewelry re-plated.
How often you need to do this depends on the thickness of the plating, the quality
of the piece, the color of the base metal and of course how you take care of it.

Express shipping means, that they pick the package up at my workshop, so the pick up date will depend on my availability. In all cases I will give priority to your package and keep you updated all the time.
