The Cartier Panthère is an iconic jewelry and watch collection with a history dating back to 1914. Inspired by the elegance of panthers, Cartier's fascination began with a bracelet watch in 1914. Its prominence grew when the Duke of Windsor commissioned a panther brooch in 1949. The iconic Panthère watch was introduced in 1983, featuring a square case and a fluid link bracelet, becoming a symbol of luxury and style. Over the years, Cartier has created various iterations and revivals of the collection, with the Panthère watch making appearances in popular culture. It remains a timeless symbol of Cartier's craftsmanship and elegance.
This vintage Cartier panthere was carefully crafted in 1981. It is shown both with the original 1980s bi-coloured chain and with the more recent silk chord.
The price includes both the chain and the chord.
Panthere weighs 44.5g, length 6 cms. Signed Cartier with French hallmarks (for 18k Gold) and serial number.
Chain length = 49cm or 19.30 inches. Weight is 29.5g. Signed Cartier with French hallmarks.
Chord is stamped Cartier 750.

Meritxell converted the clips to studs at no additional charge. They arrived as always, beautifully wrapped, in a felt Cartier pouch, great for travel. The earrings are supremely comfortable, not always a given after a clip-to-stud conversion. They are my new favorite go-to daily jewelry. Bloomsbury Manor is definitely my favorite store for high quality, luxury jewelry and superb service.
